In my mind its finally come to an end :headbang:

Over the past 5 months there has been a lot going on in my back yard.. and now that its all over I have a new home for both the Camaro and the Vette. Its been a really long process and a lot of back-breaking work, but its been fun at the same time. Construction started around Sept of 08. Heartbuilt Homes did the majority of the construction work. Heres an indepth pictorial of whats been in the works:

August = Breaking ground
First shot... nothing done at this point

Storage room
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m83/Corvettekid82/Garage/IMGP2047.jpg

Final size = 1000 sq ft of garage/workshop/storage space and an attic for more room. All floors are sealed and treated with anti-slip grit. Pictures don't do it justice as you cant even appreciate how much crap we sorted thru, repacked and threw away. My family are all packrats and the garage that exists today was once 3, 20x10 storage units, and a whole 'nother single car garage and attic. We have done a lot and still have a lot more to do.. but atleast now there is room for the cars when before the entire sq footage was filled with packed boxes and junk. One or two more good weekends and it will be where I want it to be.
The garage is my personal space... workshop is the parents... however I dragged them into the hobby and I can use everything as well as they can. Storage is all Dad's for his Lapidary Equipment business on the side. Workshop has Faceting machines, grinders, polishers, casting equiptment and a full silversmithing workshop as well as all the small tools and stuff to do the work.

That's awesome man, I love my two-car garage.

What happened to your ZO6 wheels?

They're stacked directly behind the car, you can see the tires if you look close. Had a tire lose air on me while it sat in the grass so I didnt notice it and it bubbled the sidewall. They'll be back soon, but the dd needs a new radiator so thats 1st.

awesome shop, I'm jealous. now all you need is a lift.

I would settle for a yard to park in right now. (apartment)

Both cars will fit fine and still have room to open doors, ect.

The actual structure was done in about 4-5 months. The last month has been "unpacking" and sealing the floors.. etc etc.
Zoning kicked me square in the nuts on the size of the garage. Its too close to the well to make it any bigger.. thats also why the driveway is poured a little strange around that area. I really wanted an in-law house on a second story, but zoning owned me there as well. The design that was built was actually turned down the first time and had to be petitioned to pass.
Even more of the stuff you see in the pictures will be moved/rearranged, and there is a 2 1/2 car garage attached to the house as well when I run outta space :)

yeah the zoning guys can suck my parents have land so size didnt really matter but we had to have a sign up at the road for a couple of months telling everyone what we were building. the finish work looks good though looks alot better then our cold metal building.

That is really bad ass. I hope it has A/C/. That would be the cherry on top of the cake there.
BTW the halo lights look sweet.

Nicely done! a well built 2 car garage is something that was essential when the wife and I went house shopping in 2002. Found one that is like you described yours (can open doors without much problem). Congrats on the build.
