Default Time to go all out!!

Well, i was using my TA as a daily driver and didn't want to take it to far. But this weekend I purchased a 97 mustang gt. That will be my new daily driver.

Now I'm ready to go all out! I want it to run in the 10's. What alls need to get that far?

you should be farily close to a 10 sec time slip now. what does it run? are you just wanting it to run 10s or race competitively in a 10 sec class? Install the parts still left on your list and take some weight out.

LT's, ported heads (not sure if your edelbrocks are), 3500 stall, and some n2o for good measure

lol..long tubes are on the list of parts im going to get.
I spent my tax return on buying my old mustang back. so i gotta save up some money. number one and two on my list are long tubes and a stall. but im wanting to get rid of the 4l60e now. wanting to get a th350/400 with a tbrake.

I haven't taken the car to the track yet. still needs a few minor tweaks before i take it out. but no im just wanting to run 10's, not be in a 10 sec class.

no the edelbrocks aren't ported.

btw any reason you're going with such a tall tire?

th350/400 with a tbrake is fun but will be hard on the rear

I say throw on the LT's when you can, and run it down the track with your 150 shot, see what times you get and what 60' times you can manage. Then move on from there.

that size tire will bring my 4.10s down to 3.73s
And i've always been told to go with the the biggest tire you can and then choose you gearing to complment it.

I was under the exact opposite impression honestly

a taller tire will ALLOW you to 60ft better because there is more sidewall, but it's always best to try to get the best 60ft possible with the smallest tire. finding a middle ground because larger tires/wheels take more energy to rotate. I'm sure the 28" tires help keep your 4.10s from making you trap in OD in the 1/4 mile though
