Default Valve guide replacement in an LS6 head

What kind of guides are they? Are they cast in the head? How would you go about replacing them?

you can also have your guides knureld (nerr-ell-d). expands them internally, and actually helps reduce friction and luricates the valvestems better.

I had mine done on some 5.3 heads and the machine shop looked it up in a book for head components and orderd them for me. I had 2 replaced and it cost me 30 bucks including the guides. (and to do it right they should place the head in a special oven and heat it up to get the old one out and the new one in.
