E cutout wireing ?

Default E cutout wireing ?

i just order my electric cutout and when i get it im going to install it myself i was just wondering where everybody was running the wire for the switch threw?? how did you get into the cab or the car?

My e-cutout is installed under the rear passenger seat location. There is a grommet under the seat which I cut. The wire is fed through there, under the carpet, and runs to my ashtray.

same thing, through the drain plug, up along the center console, switch right beside the ciggarette lighter

did the same way but i mounted my switch next to my tcs and the power source is coming from my fuse box

ok so how did you guys wire in the switch to power and ground? can i wire it with the cig lighter?

Exactly what I did, and installed the switch in the ashtray. Works like a champ. Just remember that wired to the cig lighter always has power, so you can open (or close) it before you even start you car.

so if it always has power will it drain the battery or not? i wouldn't think so unless i open and close it multiple times without starting the car..i just want to make sure...i don't think it would be pulling power from the battery unless im actually opening or closeing it..

does anybody have pics of where they put the switch, is there a way to get a fog light switch or something and put it up by the radio/tcs/foglights for a stock look?
