Default Steel J-Bracket for procharger... which company!?

So I was looking into the steel J-Bracket and I see two company's mentioned while searching. Automotion which I haven't seen referenced for about 5 years, and this company that has one on their website.

Is one better then the other? Did they change company names?

Should I just order it here?

How much boost are you running? Seems like a crock to me. I'm sure there is SOME flex, but more from the spacers than the bracket itself.

Oh I agree on the reasoning behind it, I just don't see the bracket being what flexes. I see the spacers and bolts flexing before the supercharger bracket itself.

Thats what I would think too. Thats a serious piece of aluminum compared to the studs in the alternator and aluminum stand off nuts.

I called True Tech last year to order one, and they didn't have any made at the time. They took down my info so they could call me once they had a new batch made up, apparently they never made any as they never called... lol I'd be curious to see if it helps. Bob

I had two SDCE setups, one with the aluminum and one with the steel bracket. I switched between them a couple times and there was never any difference I seen really.

With the stock 6 or procharger 8 rib where you have to tighten the crap out of the belt it may help some.

A little hint is to take the aluminum bracket and drill another hole and use an extra bolt to hold the blower on, you dont even have to countersink it. That really helps out the stock J-bracket.

How much?

FWIW, a nice brace from the block to the J bracket will pretty much eliminate flex. Its cheap too.

Is that bracket spaced out more than the factory ATI bracket? The cog looks quite a bit wider than my 8 rib pulley, and mine *almost* touches the alternator pulley as it is, if the blower came forward anymore it would be inside the radiator...

Yes, it's considerably further out than an 8rib setup. The whole assembly was purpose built for the cog drive.

The j bracket normally sells for 139.95,if i could get orders for 10 or more i would be willing to drop that down to 120.00,the assembly with the stands, and hardware is $400.00-the stands can be made for 6,8,10 rib belts as well as a cog setup.
