Default question on 5.3 heads

I'm looking into doing some 5.3 heads on my ls1 and I am wondering what needs to be done to ensure a nice/worth while install. I heard they need to be ported and have bigger intake valves put in. If so what size valves?

Look up some PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads. The are CNC ported and have larger valves. Very good heads for the price. It will flow very well and increase your compression ratio.

Depends on the heads. I was talking about the 5.3 truck heads. Some 5.3's came with 243 heads. Those are even better. But once ported, I think either the 243's or the 5.3 heads will work fine. Look into some of PRC's cnc'd heads.
