5.3 SWAP Chevelle, where do I plumb the Autometer Temp. and Mechncl oil press.
Thank you for the help in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just finished a complete 5.3, painless swap, 64ss chevelle. I found one plug on the passenger head and one one larger plug on the driver by the pxr steering pump. Still un-sure were to plumb these manual guages. I sure appreciate the help!

I would use the passenger side behind #8 for the Water Temp, other chice would be the water pump if yours has a flat spot to drill and tap.
Oil, unless your using the BCM for the truck to use as a gauge (most likely a dummy gauge anyway), the PCM doesn't need it, use the stock 5.3L location.. I did for my idiot light sensor, I also have the LS1 block off plate above the oil filter that I used for my Autometer gauge sender.

Passenger side head, behind #8 exhaust port. Tap this out to fit you desired autometer gauge fitting of choice. I use the factory oil pressure location behind the intake at the top of the block. It is a 16MM thread, I buy a 16mm plug from my local hose / plumbing shop and drill/tap a 1/8 NPT hole in the center for my mechanical oil pressure gauge. I know somebody makes the oil pressure fitting adaptor, but the plugs are available at most shops that put together fuel systems and plumbing, and its easy.

For using the stock location Oil port, since I was not using it for the factory gauges and the PCM doesn't use it, I took the old LS1, broke off the black plastic part and was just left with the lower alum housing, I just drilled and tap'd the hole to 1/8 NPT and had a adapter for free ! No need to buy and adapters..
