really? that seems a little low. i thought they 5.3 heads would raise compression up about 1 point to right around around 11:1?

The 4 cc valve reliefs are offsetting the reduction in combustion chamber volume.

The gaskets definatly have alot to do with it. The difference between a .030 gasket and the stock .052 (or .054 or something) will change the number by a decent amount. Im sure you already know this but i know that putting .030's on my ls1 raised compression up to right around 11:1 with just that swap, so playing with a variety of gaskets will yeild your desired compression ratio.

Mill the heads to 59cc and you'll be just over 11.0.
