Yes and no. They are supposedly the same size, but I've heard that they require slightly longer pushrods.

Get a pushrod length checker. Do a search and you'll see tons of threads on this topic.

I'm running them w/ no modifications that needed to be done. I don't like to speak for other peoples cars and so "no you won't" but the odds are you will have no issues. I had to run a smaller pushrod with them.

I don't know about you, but I'm not about to play the "odds" on my valvetrain. For the peace of mind, investing in a PR length checking tool is a wise decision. And correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're running them with "no modifications" then what exactly is a shorter pushrod considered?

This is good advice.

I did check for correct length w/ a measuring tool 3 different times. Never said anything about me not doing so. I consider it to be replacing/upgrading the pushrods for my application, not modifying.

You've got your answer.

Just wanted to add that LS7 lifters are now the new replacement lifters for all small block Chevy's. If you go to the dealer and ask them for LT1 lifters, they will give you LS7 lifters.

Stock PR are 7.200" I had to "modify" mine by going with a 7.15'' Hope this clears my "not having to modify my application" up.

You may or may not, you'll have to measure to be sure. The LS7 lifters sometimes require a pushrod that is .05" different.

Yeah it seems hit or miss with these things. When I was first looking into parts for my swap, some people were saying they didn't have to change them out to a different size or yes they did to a longer, then some came in with saying they had to go smaller...

Just measure for correct size to ensure. Pushrods are not that much $$$ in the end. Trickflows are a good PR to go with. Summit sells them for right around a $100-110 bucks a set.

I get what you were implying man! When I hear the word modify I think of physically having to tinker with something to get it to work/fit. I also had to use a 7.15'' pushrod for my application.

Pushrods are cheap. $100 dollars isn't that bad plus you will have a lot better rod over the stock.

the reason i asked is because the lt1 lifters are like 100 dollars more than the ls7s. I just called up a buddy of mine and he said to go with the stock ones because he has heard and seen the the ls7 s sometimes fail.

Your buddy is spreading rumors. You'll be fine with LS7 lifters.

Here's a question: What's so good about the LS7 lifters over others or even the original LT1 lifters?
