[QUOTE=RamAir95TA;11038216]I don't know about you, but I'm not about to play the "odds" on my valvetrain. For the peace of mind, investing in a PR length checking tool is a wise decision. And correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're running them with "no modifications" then what exactly is a shorter pushrod considered?
I did check for correct length w/ a measuring tool 3 different times. Never said anything about me not doing so. I consider it to be replacing/upgrading the pushrods for my application, not modifying.

Just wanted to add that LS7 lifters are now the new replacement lifters for all small block Chevy's. If you go to the dealer and ask them for LT1 lifters, they will give you LS7 lifters.

Yeah it seems hit or miss with these things. When I was first looking into parts for my swap, some people were saying they didn't have to change them out to a different size or yes they did to a longer, then some came in with saying they had to go smaller...
Just measure for correct size to ensure. Pushrods are not that much $$$ in the end. Trickflows are a good PR to go with. Summit sells them for right around a $100-110 bucks a set.

Pushrods are cheap. $100 dollars isn't that bad plus you will have a lot better rod over the stock.

the reason i asked is because the lt1 lifters are like 100 dollars more than the ls7s. I just called up a buddy of mine and he said to go with the stock ones because he has heard and seen the the ls7 s sometimes fail.
