Ok so I just ordered a set of LPP stainless LT's and ORY earlier this week. I now need to order all the other install goodies to go with it. This is what I've figured out so far:

Need:
New GM or Percy's gaskets
2 x O2 extensions
Stage 8 Locking Header bolts
3 x Band Clamps

Also getting:
MSD Wires
New plugs

I'm going to be deleting my AIR too and getting the car tuned after. I don't need any blockoff plates since they are race style and I'm deleting the AIR right? Also, we are going to be putting it on lift to install them so it will be plenty high enough. Can you guys think of anything else I need?

I'm also going to be installing my SLP CAI and bellows right around the same time before I get it tuned too. Btw, they are getting installed in about a month over my spring break.

A lot of people like to do motor mounts at the same time as the header install. With the headers in the car its a big PITA. With the headers off, its still a major PITA, just not as bad.

I would get the computer re tuned with the rear o2 sensors deleted, air system deleted, and for the header install its self. If you have race only headers, there will be no need for block off plates, since they won't have the air provisions on them.

the only other thing I can think of is to block the hole in your lid where the AIR starts, if you havent already thought of that, thats the only emissions block off you will need. other then that you got it covered.

Yeah I've got that on there in the writing below the list. And it is going to be done for free because the car already has a street tune and all my retunes are free.

Yeah I looked around at different headers for about a month and was really set on getting some Hookers, but then I found out you couldn't get race versions and I didn't really want the block off plates. And the LPP's were a good deal for stainless. I can't wait to get them on the car, althought I may not bring the car back down to school until May.

Unless your car has 200k miles, save some money and reuse the stock bolts and gaskets.

I installed headers on a friends car that had 120k miles, and his exhaust gaskets were in great condition. I've also reused stock gaskets/bolts on 4 other cars. No problems!

I'll have a lift too. Just 2 hours to take all the old stuff out and put the new ones in? I'm also going to be changing to some MSD wires and new plugs too.

I'm def going to get some new bolts, but the car has like 96k. I think it would just be better to get the new gaskets while I'm at it. Thanks for the info though.

i just got some of the same headers and Y pipe coming my way. you should post up some numbers when you get it all tuned, i hope to have mine in next week. i will be tuning out the rear O2's, EGR, AIR, and the newly aquired 100 shot!!!

I'd have to go find a dyno to have it put on to get some numbers. I don't have the money for a dyno tune, its just all done on my tuner's laptop. I'm going to be putting mine on in about a month.

I dont know, my hands and forearms looked like i pulled them out of a woodchipper thanks to the little spikes of death under the cowl, and other random bolts and things.

What size O2 extensions you guys go with? I just emailed Speed Inc and they said that 1 12" and 1 24" would work the best on my car... Is that what you guys did or go with two 24" or what?
