decided to change my oil since the car is 3 feet off of the ground for a header install. low and behold needle bearings like a cheap get well thing in the hospital on my drain plug . so of course i open up the passenger side to find.......nothing and then go to the drivers and there the little biatch is. exhaust rocker on cyl. 5 all bearings are gone from one side and i don't see the cover either, yet.

car only has bolt-ons and has just over 18,000 miles on it. only hit the rev limiter a couple of times too.

Jesel shaft mounts or Comp Pro Mags. You must be wearing a horseshoe around your neck to be able to avoid major damage with that rocker flopping all over the place.

I dunno, I've seen 3 local cars break rocker arms and they drove on it for weeks like that. All 3 are just fine, and we replaced the rocker and they went on their merry way. I don't think it's generally a very catastrophic situation on these cars, although I'm sure there's some exceptions to that.

i have found the cap and all but one bearing. so who knows where that little devil is.

i p/u a new rocker and it is installed.

now back to what i was doing before i was so rudely interrupted!
