Default fuel line question

So do you have to keep the canister by the gas tank? I believe its like the evap canister or whatever?? Can that just be blocked off or is it important for venting?

Thanks

no, u do not have to keep it. yes, its the EVAP charcoal canister for emissions. i removed mine completely from the intake manifold to the charcoal canister. just cut the hose frm the tank to the canister and place a breather at the end of the hose for venting. check out the thread EVAP delete in the drag racing section. theres plenty of info on this
