What would cause a 4L60E to never engage OD ? The shifter goes into the
OD position just fine but the trans will NOT engage 4th gear . Other than
the trans not engaging 4th it shifts perfectly 1st-3rd . Please help ! Thanks !

Aftermarket Sonnax servo . Its a brand new CPT Pro Race 60E . Long story short I had a Fuddle lose the front bearings and shed metal into the trans . Had trans gone through
and Frank said everything was okay . Well Since then I went with a Yank
and having 4th gear engaging issues . Im thinking the Sonnax outer servo
or valve body hanging up . Does this sound right ?

Well this is going to be fun lol
It's very difficult to remove the stock servo with the trans in the car, but it can be done.
I'd suggest putting a jack under the trans and removing the trans crossmember and lowering the trans down so you can access the servo cover.
You need to push the cover in a little, then use a small screwdriver to remove the clip.
Then you might try and get it out without cutting the o-ring. I've done it with the trans out and a stock servo, you gotta pry the crap out of it.
The suggested method is to grab the o-ring with a pick and yank it out (ruining it) this way the servo pulls out real easy. But then you need to hunt down the correct o-ring. The inner and outer are different and color coded because they are so close in size.

Damn video taking forever.
If you can get a stock servo I'd try it.
I'm not 100% sure but I thought I read somewhere about people having trouble with these.
If you get it out just look at it. Problems should be obvious like a cut or scraped o-ring. Or the clip and washer missing on the apply pin.

Heres the video, instead of beating it with channel locks you'll be using a prybar against the floorboard to push the cover in. When you get the steel ring out, usually you rip the o-ring out of the bottom slot where I put the screwdriver and just pull it out. But since I reused the o ring I pryed the cover off, it's best not to let the screw driver pop out like I did.
Under the cover is the stock piston.
Thats all you can remove with it in the car without lowering the trans is the cover and the 4th piston, to remove the rest in the car you need to pop the clip off the pin and disassemble it and remove it in pieces.
And I'm not even sure about the sonnax servo, I think you have to lower the trans to get even the cover off.
