Default new trans am need some guidance

Hi My name is Tony I am new to the f-body club. I just bought a black trans am automatic 100% stock. It has about 100k on it but in good condition. I am an X hondatuner and my knowledge of f body cars is very limited. I have short term goals for the car to start but I want to do it right the 1st time. I have a check engine which is o2 and egr. I also have a set of bad tie rods. I know this because before I purchased the car I went to the dealer with the previous owner.

My plans are to make this car a medium power , great handling car. I wanted to know the tie rods whats is there an upgrade to oem? I also wonder about the egr because I have plans to get long tube true duals.

These are the upgrades I am planning in order. Please give me your opponion.

Tie rod replacement with eurathane inserts
18" rims and tire (20;s?) what size do you think +tire size?
HID head lights and fogs (anyone know what size the fog lights take?)
tokico illumina r coilovers (I have had them on my integra before and was happy with them)
strut tower brace
eurothane master kit
shift kit
traction bar
sway bars
true duals with long tubes not sure brand or size
cai
msd ignation and wires
iridium plugs
cams
tune

please give me your opponion I am going to be doing the list within 3-4 months. I want it to handle better asap

cai either K&N, Moroso, or SLP will work fine
msd ignation and wires MSD 8.5 wires, no need for an ignition boxiridium plugs NGK TR55's work great
cams LOL, it's cam, not cams...I say CC503, but I'm biased
tune Ion at MadTuner is excellent!

You are on the right track, but I think you need to do a lot more searching on this site before you start making final decisions.

Thanks guys! I see the power adders are more popular than suspension stuff lol! Anyone want to assist with the suspension mods?

UMI, BMR, all those types of suspension brands are amazing. I'd also check out the various vendors we have on the site.. I love www.ws6store.com and www.ls1speed.com

you might want to look into the C5 brake upgrade for it too.

c5 brakes are a good upgrade. especially for LT1 cars cause our brakes suck *** from the factory. if your on a budget you could go with LS1 brakes. much cheaper. in my opinion, there are very few 18s that look good on an f body. z06 wheels come to mind. otherwise id just stick to 17s. plus tires are way cheaper
