Default Cammed LT1 problems

Ok guys. Just finished putting together my lt1. I have put headers, milled the heads, and put in a lloyd elliot cam. I started it and it ran fine the first day in the garage. then i started it again to take it in to put the exhaust on cuz its on open headers now and it started idling at almost 2000 rpm. then it bogged down and stalled and wont start again. any ideas as to what the problem is? I just put the 02 sensors on so thats fine.

O ya. another thing. The battery might not be good. Would that affect it once its already running or not?

possibly TPS or IAC, I had similar problems and that fixed em. But like many are going to mention, could be the damn opti too.

i put a new opti spark in it already. i havent gotten it tuned yet and i realize thats a problem but i thought it would run good enough to drive for a couple days before the tune.

could be a couple of things, what does the car do if you try to start it? start checking all connections/wiring before you start taking things back apart

is it a crank no start or does it run and idle at 2000rpm and stay there or does it idle up and down

Has it set any engine codes?? The tune shouldn't make it idle high, when I ran my cam untuned it was actually the opposite and I had a hard time keeping it running. I am thinking something vaccuum related or perhaps an o2 sensor.

I have read that running open headers with no extensions after the collectors can throw off the o2 sensor readings. Just throwing it out there.

That can make it run really bad once it is in closed loop.

Replied in new thread, forgot the wires going into the voltage regulator on the alternator. Only had the hot from the battery hooked up. Car would start and run off battery till the battery got low and die. Found it after pulling alt to adjust valves.Feels like a full blown race car from inside. Thanks LLOYD!!!!!!!
