Default What is the hot start/ cold start problem???

Ive read about people having hot start problems and such, but what it is? I have the G5X2 cam and dont have ANY starting problems. Cold... starts right up and goes.... Hot, starts right up and drive off...

when a cam car is untuned, sometimes you will have a problem with it searching for idle (revving up and falling down nearly to a stall) on a hot restart. It only lasts a few seconds til the idle settles down, then you're off and running. More of an inconvenience than anything

I've also heard something like this occuring on ocassion with a tuned car as well depending on the programming.

As I understand it part of the ever tighter emissions requirements starting with the 2001 models the PCM is programed so that fuel cannot be sprayed from a fuel injector until the engine is cranking. On 2000 and back fuel was allowed to spray just before the car cranked. This allowed easier start up and avoided the hot start problem in most cases.

There are probably other details I'm not aware of too.
