Default Stock rockers to 7500rpm?

Will stock rockers be fine up to 7500rpm? Or is time for aftermarket? If aftermarket which brands are decent.

HS or YT are both good brands, but i think stockers are the best due to weight, some sponsors will improve them for i think 200$ roughly and they should hold up

The stock rockers held up just fine in my car right to 7200. As mentioned Harland Sharpe offers a trunion replacement for 250.00. Biggest downfall is the bearin assembly can come apart on the stock units and spread needle bearings thru out the motor. The HS mod eliminates this. I am getting this done to my rockers.

I would replace them with true roller tip a/m rockers. I have Yella Terra light weights and they are great.

A stock rocker w/harland sharp upgrade and the right beehive spring can handle it.

I have the stock rockers and shift at 7000-7200 rpms without a problem. Besides the rockers, you need to make sure the valvetrain is setup correctly to handle that kind of rpm.

We tried several aluminum aftermarket rockers on our dyno motor with valve float. At 7500 we had no issues with the stock rockers that were moded at 7500.

Very good advice above.

Good choice. With the right springs, etc. pushrods and cam, 7800+ is being done regularly with stock rockers (not even HS bearings) and stock lifters. Spend your money on the correct springs, retainers and pushrods, and the HS mod if you must.

Why are you planning to spin to 7500? Single plane?

My advice would be to work with a valvetrain guy who has sucessfully done 7500+ HR LS engines with the correct parts. It's not rocket science, but it is far from throwing together valvetrain parts and hoping it works. Think LIGHT and STIFF not heavy and oversprung.

I think PAC does a great job with springs.

Good luck.

I dont need to shift past 7500, just need something safe up to 7500rpm

I can shift at 7000-7300 or so realistically.
