Default head gasket question plz help

i know this might not work but will i need to replace the head gasket if i take it off and put it right back on maybe a min later?

Stock head gasket? How long has it been on the engine?

Yes, if it has been torqued down I wouldn't test it.

I wouldn't risk it, you can get a set of new GM gaskets for 40$ from Scoggin Dickey (SDPC)-------------------------------------------->

If the car has been running for any amount of time on a original head gasket it needs replaced. You'll see part of the gasket will stick to the head part will stick to the block. You'll have to clean both surfaces before reinstalling the head. If you get a multi layer gasket like cometics you can remove the head and reuse the gasket, but there pricy.
