Default What tire would you recommend?

Just bought this Z and the tires are bald. I need to put 245/50/16's on it. Want a reasonbly priced tire($60-$125). I will most likely never see the track but who knows. A4 with 2.73's and a few mods. I don't mind if they spin a little. My two biggest concerns are that they are quiet and last a couple years.

I am just outside of Meadville. I'm not sure if its the stock Z/28 but its a 16" 5-spoke chrome wheel. I think thats what came on them stock.

well assuming ur driving the forester in the snow and keep the Z for nice weather then I would get some summer tires like Nitto's or BFG's, ofcourse they are expensive and I would only do the rear's with these tires and get some cheap sumoto's for the front. just go to tirerack.com and search by sizes to give u an idea of pricing

BFG's or nittos are a definite option, do a little research.

Fuzion ZRi tires are a pretty decent tire, and they're cheap too.

Sumitomo HTRZ's are also a decent cheap tire (not sure if they come in a 16" tire though)

BFG is definitely a good brand. I had those on my '91 Z28, and now have them on my SS.

You're looking for just a high performance summer tire, right?

I wouldn't exactly call the ZRi's cheap, my buddy just had to drop $700 (Canadian) on a set of 4 for his third gen, stock size as well.

that's weird, When he was pricing them out the Nitto's he was looking at came out at around $30 a tire cheaper then the ZRi's.

Maybe they're more in Canada...haha. I honestly don't know. All I know, is that when I looked at the ZRi's, they were probably the 3rd cheapest besides Sumitomo and General.

Yes this is just for the summer months. I can't stand to drive hot rods in the salt.

I would definately say the Fuzion ZRi's or BFGoodrich g-Force Sport's. The Fuzions are $98 and the g forces are $114. But with what you want thats would I would say.

Outside of Meadville huh? Nice. Well if youre ever up in Erie with the Z there are a couple of F body and vette guys that go cruzin so PM me and let me know. Talk to you soon.
