Well, I went out last night in the 1969 camaro and it didn't work out as planned again. I have only been to 1 final this year. Last year I won 9 races.

1st time trail I went red with a .498 with a 9 and the scond time trail I went .500 with a 3. :p That was great, I was on the tree last night BUT on this run the car wouldn't go into second gear again. Damnit!!!!!!!!!!!! :bang:

I have been through 2 trannys and 2 converts with this car this year. :eek2:

I tried to get it to work but with no luck. My weekend was over.

I think that this was the last night to run the 1969 camaro. I think that it just doen't like me. :(

This coming weekend Andrew(camaroholic)and I are putting in his spare motor into the Hot Rod so I can make the Thunder Shootout. Very cool indeed!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone this weekend and I hope that it is better for you then it was for me.

Man, I cant wait to get back in my car!!!!!

That sucks Coach!

What kind of tranny is in the '69? TH350's are notorious for breaking the intermediate sprag (ask me how I know ;) ).

Good luck with the borrowed engine swap!

First time in 6 years I haven't won a program,really feels weird!!!
Took too long to install and fine tune all the changes, next year has 0 [ZERO] changes!!

Dang Coach!

Hopefully we'll lift that bad voodoo next weekend and get the hot rod back on the road. :) I'm looking forward to it. Still wonder what a cam-only motor will do in a 'race car'. ;)

That sucks Coach. You need to put the 6 speed back in. :D You killed them last year, spotting them the advantage of an auto. :judge: Must be some bad mojo going on from the swap. :D

Your season was better than mine Coach, I didn't even get to race at a single event since my car was broken and then I sold it. Oh well, I'll build another drag-car later I suppose.

sorry to hear about your bad luck coach! I've had worse years than my current, but definately spent more $$$$ in the last 12 months than the previous 4 years on my Nova! :bang: Oh the price to run just a little faster! :jest:

Good luck at Thunder!

I agree. This year really was nasty. With all the brakage from last year, I figured I was set. Wrong. I did get to set new marks on both nitrous and engine, but, not 1 win  . Our season is over, the SS is sleeping for the winter. Best thing about this year: I did not brake once. No bent push rods, no transmission braking, no rear-end exploding, no drive shafts shattering. The SS ran great, now if the old man setting behind the wheel would get off his ass. Next year will be better.

mine hasnt been the best either... last year zero problems and finished 2nd in points in no box at vmp. this year my novas been broke so much ive only got to race it at 5 of the 14 points races.... im still 8th in points though...lol. i broke 3 trans in a row then the next race broke the verter.... at the same time the lifter broke. and who can forget 5th pass of the season the 383 blew up right after it was freshened.my motors been apart 4 times this year. expensive year for racing. the 434 just went 9.51 though and i went 5 rounds both days at super chevy. it'll come around coach... you know, youve been doing it long enough. they dont call it winning.. they call it drag racing. :D

GeorgeC,
Turbo 350. It was the linkage bar going into the tranny. It was out of line. What and easy fix. :p

Bad MOJO in the 69. You are not the 1st to tell me to switch back to the 6-speed.

Derek,
The price to go faster does SUCK!!!! :eek2:

David,
Great you didn't break anything this year. Good luck next year.

Robbie,
I feel your pain. :bang: When is your next race? IHRA or NHRA?

i was gonna try and run rockingham this week but cant get off. i mostly run the big stuff from PA to NC to OH. alot of divisionals and just a few national events. didnt get any nhra points this year so no nhra races next year for me.... oh well. we still run jr dragsters. i use to run them. my sister still does. the payouts are getting huge and we run headsup. 4.20 330ft's in a jr dragster! just went a 7.08 sunday in the 1/8th. i love technology...lol

I ran for the first time in the summit series at my local track this year. I didn't have the car ready for the first couple of races, then when it was running I either red lighted,or broke out in the first round.LOL

Theirs always next year:)
