Made it to the Final round in Summit points last night at Orlando for 1st time!! Last night was my 1st Final round race in sportsman at my home track in Orlando. I cut unusually good lights all night and the car ran the # every pass until the final went 6.78 on a 6.82 dial but i took the strip. I ran a friend and it was his 1st final at OSW also.
I've been bracket racing off and on for 15 years but almost every weekend for the last 3 years. I've been to a final last year at Moroso All Chevy race in my GTO and a final 2 years ago at the NoBull Nationals heads up street car race, also a final at Lakeland in 2005. I now can say i did good at a points race at OSW , maybe one day i'll win an event.

Big congrats man, not an easy task to make a final in a points race. Bummer about the breakout, did you split the purse? At least you're second in points to start the season, WTG!

Thanks for the congrats guys. Yeah we did split the payout Derek , i thought i had won as i passed him right at the strip but then saw his win light and my breakout #s on the board. This was actually our 2nd event this year and i sucked last race but i'm in the top 10 now.

Well congrats on the split and the top ten. I've found I do better in finals when I split (although if my opponent refused the split I have a decent percentage of making him/her sorry they didn't take me up on the offer)

Good job, only 90 points out of first place. Just think all you need to do is place at your track, then win division 2. Then you can drag everything all the way out to the west coast for the finals.

What's up Dave, glad to see you're doing good, pretty soon you'll be deadly on the lights. Cant wait to see the PURPLE car back in action.
