6.0L Heads/Cam question
Hey Everyone.
Doesnt seem to be as much 6.0L combo knowledgle floating around, but ill ask anyways.
Ive got a set of Stg 1 CNC LS6 heads here, NIB that i can use on my 6.0l with a TR230 cam.
The car would have 1 7/8" Headers, ORY, Magnaflow caback, LS6 intake, under drive etc.
My goal is 420rwhp.
Can i achieve that iwth the heads/cam combo? Do i need to step the cam up?
If i can get there with a TR230, and hte LS6 heads, id prefer that over a MS3 or something along those lines since the TR230 would be a bit easier on fuel, and still meet my hp goal
Or, would my best option be to sell the heads for a L92/L76 top end w/ the TR230 or similar cam

You're not finding out much on 6.0's because most 6.0 questions/info are in Gen IV internal section.
And it should knick 420rwhp on a manual, I assume this is going into the '89 Iroc in your sig w/ 6sp? Seeing as you already have the h/c, i would stick w/ that. L92 heads are great, but from what I've read are real nit-picky with cams, you have to run a pretty wide split cam in order to get the most out of that particular head.
If your main uncertainty is the TR230 cam, get a custom one ground to the LS6 heads you already have and end the debate. Good luck
