Drag Racing Tech - Need Help with Weld Draglites
I got a sweet deal on some 15x3.5 Weld draglites with tires. When I got them home and went to mount them to see if I needed a spacer. I discovered my wheel studs are about 1/4" short from even being flush with the outside of the wheel, and they don't even fit the hub tight. I knew they were multi pattern but figured I just needed spacers. Does anyone know 1. Will these wheels even work on my '98? 2. What do I need to make them fit? 3.Where can I get these parts? Sponsor? The only # on the wheel is 15-01
Please don't be a dick and say search, I did and came up with nothing useful.
Thanks in advance.

On my TA I used ARP 3.25 studs to replace the factory wheel studs along with a 5/16 wheel spacer. The stud reaches far enough in the lugs and has more than enough clearance with the spacer.
Stock studs are fine up front, you need a shank lug nut for it. You might get away with a spacer or grind your calipers.
Do a search for "Welds" and you'll have enough reading for months.

You should use only 3.25" studs front and rear. Especially if you're using spacers which you'll need unless you want to do some serious grinding. You need 12mm protruding into the hex portion of the lugs. If left as is, you're relying on the shanks to support wheel loading via the thinnest portion of the shank lug...which is not designed to take 100% of the load. You do need shank style lugs with 1.380" lengths.
Sponsors on the right sell the ARP studs that you'll need.
Thanks for all who responded. I bought the 5/16" spacers, 1.38" shank lugs, and ARP 2.5" studs. I wanted to be able to use my stock rims with the new studs. A lot of people said you could use the stock studs with the shanks, but I wasn't comfortable not having the studs stick past the wheels some. We'll see how it works out. Are the 2.5" studs going to be sufficent? I really don't want the 3.25" if I don't need them, I'd rather just stick to stock rims if thats the case and re sell the skinnies.
Btw SJM, Love the Bogarts, just not in my budget right now. And thanks for responding even though it has nothing to do with your product.

You're welcome. I believe they will be slightly short. You may be ok.
Thanks for the comments.
