Advantage of Gun Drilled and Star Flanged Axles???

im planning on getting a moser 9" soon with my tax money and was wondering whats the advantages of gun drilled and star flanged axles over regular axles?

They weigh less. Some people say they are not as street friendly either.

yeah thats what i was thinking. my car is driven regularly but not daily........ i also like to drive it to the beach a few hours away every now and then

If your trying to save a few pounds I would spend the money but for the minimal difference for most people it is not worth the expense.

That kind of work is for people looking for pounds on a already gutted race car, some have moved onto chromoly housing and Ti bolts, you can get pretty crazy. I dont skimp on strength when it comes to street abuse.
