Default Repairs Round One..

So I took my SS into the dealer today to get my replacement wheels and to fix a few things.

I hand the service dept manager the typed out list of things I would liked fixed and he asked me what the ISS was....and what the TSB #'s meant. Also he asked what type of wheels I was getting, I told him stock replacements, he said yeah, but what kind of wheels.

So that was at 7:30 and now it is 1:30 still no up date about my car....Ever had a dealer not know what he/she was talking about so badly??

7:30 to 1:30 isn't that bad. These guys are bad labor by the hour....they aren't going to speed thru installs and repairs like we are when we install something on our own.

That's kind of funny.

Mechanics in dealerships around here get paid for the "standard" time for each repair. If they can do it in half the time, the customer still gets billed for the standard amount, and the mechanic is paid for the standard hours. An acquaintance of mine is pretty quick and typically gets paid for 20+ hours of labour each shift.

Well this is the first car I have had a warranty on, so this is the first time I have ever gone to a dealer for repairs....

I am getting the ISS looked at, the dash creeks, the TSB for the remote start and my 2 new wheels.

What else should I have them look at???

Yeah, well the Wheels were not in, they are replacing the ISS and a rack an pinion gear as well as the inner fender wells.

So they will call me when the parts are in. I am still under the original 3/36,000 warranty, and they want the car an hour before I go to work, so can I ask them for a loaner car???
