Default too much clearance

Started on another 700 build. I found a few issues inside. This tranny had no 2nd or 4th. Just 1st, 3rd, and lockup. Thats too much clearance right?(0.177)
I could fit another friction and steel in there

That is a little much for the 3-4 clutch set I like to see
.020-.025
But that would not have caused a no 2nd or 4th condition that would have to do with the band or servo assemblies

your right. The 2/4 issue was caused by too short of a pin. But I still haven't figured out what ate up the input planet.

That would come from the forward clutch backing plate making contact.
