Lightbulb 4L60e to a truck 4L65E

I need some help with this. I have a friend that has a Lvl6 Rpm tranny and Circle D converter I'm wanting to buy and was wondering what the difference is in the transmissions? I know the housings are different. Couldn't I use my old stock 60E housing though? Any information I can get for this swap would be appreciated , thanks.

BTW: The Lvl6 Rpm I'm wanting to get is comming out of a 04' GMC.

Assuming they are both 1997 and later the differences are mostly internal beside the tail housing. Should bolt up

What would I have to do to make this swap work? Sorry, just asking if I don't ask noobie questions I'll never know . So basically All I'll have to do is swap tail housings?
