I got a very nice set of billet 1.25 adapters from Skulte Performance Designs for the same wheel swap. The quality is reflected in the cost.. but they were worth the piece of mind and they come with good studs and lugnuts for the adapters so you don't need anything else. Plus the owner is an f-body guy.

On a side note, you may want to consider rolling your rear fender lips if it isn't done already, even at stock height. when I was running the same setup the sidewalls got sliced up every now and then. No mods were needed to the inner fenderwells though with 285's on them.

Skulte all the way. Im running 1.7" spacers in the front of my 86 to run 02 WS6 wheels. Also, and maybe an even better testimonial to their quality, I and a few others are running the spacers on our off-road jeeps. A buddy of mine runs 2" spacers on all 4 corners with 38" tires. He beats on it, with aired down tires, and through a 4:1 atlas transfer case. Thats LOTS of torque and he's never had an issue. had to use them for clearance issues while turning under throttle.

Also, Andres is really cool to talk to. He has no problem taking time to go over things on the phone with you. He stands behind his products for sure.
