Default Electrical Issue WITH VIDEO

Just got this car with a motor swap in it, and whenever the headlights are on, or if the radio is up too loud. basically anything that draws charge of the battery, the interior lights start to dim on and off, and if the head lights are on they start to flicker.

no idea what this could be, someone said a ground wire. Did a battery test and an altenator test on saturday, both checked out good.

No video, but I'd take a guess that it's time for the big three.. There's a link from FAQ in the stereo&electronics section.

Your voltage is reading pretty high in the video as well...

it always almost pegs red when the flickering is going on.

might just make another ground wire red the big 3 thread..

My guess would be the alternator. My car did this exact thing a little over a year ago. The alternator will test good at autozone or advance but its something wrong with the regulator that doesn't regulate the voltage like its suppose too. Check grounds first, if this doesn't fix it I would replace the alternator.

My car did this last summer and I checked everything! Finally I took the alternator off and had the brushes replaced as I was told they were about 80% worn. It tested fine on the machine but when taken apart he saw they were almost bad.

Before reinstalling the alternator I noticed the back bolt(alt bracket to block) was gone. I was told it acts as a ground but dont know if thats true or not. So I added a ground wire from the back alt bolt to the motor mount and all my flashing stopped.

I dont know if it was the brushes or the ground wire that did the trick but its something to try, it fixed mine.
