I can sell my Lincoln Mark VIII and be Ford Free!. Picked this up yesterday for a super price and will be making an appointment soon with CMS for a tune,CAI and some mufflers.

This now completes my Gm Stable.

It feel good to have everything I own to have at least 300hp

The 6.0 motor would be nice but other then that the SAAB is so much nicer and better looking with a much more upscale interior. Handling is better and the factory warranty is also longer.

It will burn them for sure! Ultimately a Cts V or G8 would be what I want but for a car that I my and I are going to put 20k a year on this seems like the better deal.

Maybe after my tune and CAI we can run it against your 97.

This impala would probably beat a 5.7 300c

The Impala should smoke a 300C. Now a SRT8 would be a different story.

Looks like the 300c would take it. Although the Impala handles better, brakes better and get's better mpg the mph is close in the 1/4 so maybe the fwd has traction issues. It is also 400lbs lighter.

2007 Impala SS
C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 5.6 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 13.9 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 5.8 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 14.2 sec @ 101 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 154 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 172 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.81 g

2008 300c
C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 5.3 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 13.4 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 5.6 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.9 sec @ 102 mph
Top speed (governor limited): 130 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 184 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.77 g

I stand corrected. Maybe because it's FWD. It's funny how both would give a stock LT1 a run for it's money. But I love old technology.

I have seen a guy in a GXP(basically the same as an impala) run a 13.6 bone stock. I think you could beat one.

I think the GXP has 3.23 gears instead of 2.91's. With a tune,Cai I could probley get close to the mid 13's. Good enough for a car my wife drives.

7 tenths is asking a lot from a CAI and a tune.

The stock DOD tune kinda sucks. The G8 Gxp's have picked up some good numbers that Ryne has tuned.

Like I said close to mid 13's. Usually you can beat the magazines in a car like this
