Default Casting # 317 LS6 Heads

Are the casting # 317 heads ("04" Escalade) adaquate for a mild build 6L engine?

They'll do nicely depending on your targeted power goals. The combustion chambers are on the large side (approx. 71cc) which can help or hurt depending on your setup. Are you putting them on a car or truck application?

Richard,

Thanks for the input. They will go on a "04" 6L, good rods, forged pistons, Comp Cam 220/228 532/538 114 LS, MagnaCharger with about 8 lbs boost. in a "98" F body Camaro. I'm running pretty much same set up now on a 5.3L little smaller cam 212/218 521/528 114 LS with 9.9 lbs boost and getting 455 lbs Torque & 495 Hp @ rear wheels through a 4L60E W/3.73 gears.

Those heads are great for a supercharged motor. Are you gonna run them stock, get them ported, bigger valves, stock valves with a good valve job?
