What gear to dyno in?

Default What gear to dyno in?

I have a 2001 SS with lts and a intake, what gear should it be dynoed in?It is a 6 speed..the shop is a import shop doing a 35$dyno pull day so im not sure if they would know what gear

Im pretty sure youre supposed to pull in 4th with an m6. 3rd if an auto. You pull in whatever gear is a 1:1 ratio, which is 4th in a 6 speed.

I'd go 4th, but keep an eye on driveshaft speeds, I did a pull in 3rd with locked converter on a C5, and it went to 172 mph, needless to say after that all pulls were done in 2nd.
