water in dist,Help?

water in dist,Help?
I was looking for an oil leak so i pressure washed the engine bay. Now the car won't crank. Can anybody help with tips to get the mositure out of the dist without tearing it apart?The car is a 95 camaro Lt1.

the car wont crank?
that doesnt sound like a distributor problem, the engine should still turn even if there is water in the cap.
but anyways, the only way to get the water out of to take the cap off and let it dry.. im not really sure how the optispark units are, but you can probably take the cap off without removing any of the wires

the optispark has vents. they are vacumn lines that run into it under the opti. there is two of them. i don't know if it is the problem but you can give this a shot. try to blow some air through the vacumn line and see if anything will come out. the opti. is a seal unit except those lines so i'm not sure how you could get some water in there but like forest gump said "**** happens" good luck

it cost me 250$ and 5 hours to pressure wash my engine bay. LS1 tech needs a new sticky"never pressure wash a LT1. Water got into those two stupid vent holes in the optispark dist and ruined it. Craziest design I've seen in a long time. Needless to say this is my first LT1 car.
