Did not find this in search how far can I mill 317s

most of the time people do .030 to get close to the ls6 heads. but it really depends on what cam and what engine?

I will be using a cam in the 230s 240s 111-112 LSA on stock bottom end LQ4

stock valves? you need to know the amount of lift you are going to use also.

with the size cam you are planning on running, you would be best to measure after you install the cam. the 111-112 lsa with a high lift are going to limit the amount you can mill unless you plan on flycutting.

Ya I think I will probably mill them .030 and use a .040 gasket and see what room have to work with.

I cut mine .020 with a ms4 and stock gm mls with no issues on a stock lq4
