Default In need of some 10inch or wider wheels in the rear!!!

I currently have the 16x8 snowflakes wheels with the bf goodrich kdws tires all the way around. I want to put some wider wheels and tires on back that will give me the traction I need at the track. I currently ordered a performabuilt tranny with a 3000 stall. Should I get 15,16 or 17's in the rear. Also how wide can the rim be...the wider the better right? ?Any suggestions will help.

There are tires you can get for your stock 16x8 wheels that will hook just fine at the track with the power levels you are at. Hoosier Quicktimes, MT ET Streets, even Nitto DRs should hook pretty well on a good track.

you'll be fine with your 16x8's. you might find that 16" tires are cheaper than 17's. Also, another plus of using your stock wheels is you know they will fit, as this can be a problem with alot of the 15" wheels on the market.

The new Weld R/T Series is available in 15x10 w/7.5" bs that will fit with minimal grinding, also available in 15x12,14,15" wide.

I'll get some MT Drag Radials on my stock wheels and see how that goes. Thanks
