Steering column... I have a 92 Z28 and someone tried to steal it. It looks like they tried to stick a screw driver in the key hole and now my key doesn't work right. Do I need to replace the whole column? Or can I get this...

no just need to replace the ignition since they tried to stick it in the key hole if the cars column is loose since they tried to steal it remove the battery remove the tilt NOT THE COLUMN the TILT and there should be a couple bolts to tighten up and make sure u have the batterey off if u are going to change the column because if ur car has a airbag serious injuries can occur or ur airbag light will turn on like my stupid *** did =(
