Default Car not running right, throwing codes - just replaced 02's.

Hey guys, just replaced both of my front 02 sensors and now the car is acting like ****. Here are the codes I'm throwing -
P0140
P0160
P0300
P0412
P0803

Any suggestions?

By the way, one of the codes is for multiple cylinder misfire. I did not have this before I replaced the 02's. Before replacing them I was running the car in open loop, with fuse 20 removed. Could it be possible that running in OL for so long fouled many of my plugs, and now that I'm getting the correct fuel mixture I'm running like ****? Just throwing that out there...

Did you use Bosch sensors?

They DO NOT work with quite a few LSx PCM's. I have no idea why.

When I put two brand new Bosch sensors in my car I had all kinds of crazy **** like, but my engine wouldn't even stay running without pedaling the throttle to keep it running, no way it would drive around. Took them back, went to the dealer and got two new AC Delcos and bam, PERFECT!

I just put Densos in mine today, just because I couldn't wait for the AC Delcos from my dealer to get them in.....just went for a ride, they're perfect too. $120 for both at Bennett, with the 15% discount coupon from their website.

I also used an ACDelco on B2-S1. Works great. Hook up a scanner and clear your codes after you put them in.

Yes they are bosch sensors, the ones from autozone for the fbody. I cleared my codes and unhooked the neg cable, during the drive my SES light started blinking. It has never done this before.

I am by no means saying that the Bosch sensors are YOUR problem....but over-all, Bosch sensors are garbage. But some F-Body's run ok with them.

A flashing code means something different than just a steady SES light. I forgot what it means though.

Looking at your codes, both 02's sensors might be good, the "CIRCUIT's are insufficient".

The misfire can be caused by bad 02's or bad wiring to the 02's.

The last two 412 and 803 are completely different from 02 problems, so I don't know about those. But bad 02's have been known to cause all kinds of wierd **** to happen.

Strange you got all those codes by just replacing the front 02's. 140 and 160 are post cat codes. The MAF, 02's, skip shift (803), along with the reverse lockout solenoid all share the same circuit. Just for the heck of it check the ENG SEN fuse. P0412 is for secondary air and flashing SES for a misfire threw P0300.

Flashing MIL light means TOW it to a shop... You've got a misfire so bad that it could cause catalyst damage...

Bosch sensors aren't necessarily garbage.... on European cars.

usually you only kill 02 sensors if your running rich or misfiring - but I would go ahead and replace at least the front 2 with a set of fresh Densos or Delcos if there are Bosches in there.

The fronts are bosch's and the rears are supposed to be tuned out, strange that its throwing those codes now. I am going to first try swapping the bosch's for acdelcos, hopefully autozone will take them back. I will also pick up a can of MAF cleaner an spray the maf, next step I guess is spark plugs.

This is an American made car site. European doesn't mean much around here. Bosch are garbage on many of our PCM's. Some work fine.

Also, the Bosch plugs that are made by Bosch for our LSx's, can only be used in LSx's......since they do not work in alot of LSx's, for whatever reason....that makes them garbage.

When I bought my Bosch plugs years ago that did not allow my engine to run, I took them back to Advance Auto the same day and told them everything is fine with the engine and electrical system and my mechanic put in AC Delco sensors and the engine ran perfect, and that the Bosch sensors had to be bad. They had no choice but to refund my money.

Where those bosch sensors the main problem
? I was about to purchase a set until I read this thread. I think I'm going to stick with ac delco or denso.

The 02's Share the same circuit with the skip shift? Ive done the skip shift eliminator and noticed my ses light come on after the car gets wet..is it possible that the skip shift Eliminater is getting water in it, causing the 02 codes to be thrown?

how do the bosch o2 works on lt1s? i had a code for bank 2 sensor 2 after the cat and had gotten the o2 replaced afterwards, but the code still popped up! is it possible that my cats are junk now?
