SRT8 Challenger vs 02 CETA Running down the hwy and see an orange car making its way through the ranks behind me. He gets a little opening and nails it coming up beside and past me.
I picked up a bit as we have a bit of opening in front of us and is a guy in his probably late 40's with a big smile on his face. He is running a set of pillar gauges inside so assumed he was built. Looked stock externally pretty much but one never knows these days.
i went ahead and turned my spray on and we paced a few seconds. Couple days ago i upped my pills from the 75 I normally run to what is called a 120 crankshaft hp set of pills, so felt pretty confident would run off and leave him.
First run we slowed to 45 and I dropped into 2nd...once I dropped he was gone so i hit as he grabbed a length off the jump. Didn't think much about as thought would run by him but did not happen. Stayed pretty status quo until mid 3rd when I gained a 1/2 car on him. Shifted into my power gear 4th and began a slow creep passing him at top of 4th around 130 or so.
We slowed again and he wanted to go from 70. We honked off and hit even and he took a 1/4 car jump thru 3rd, hit 4th and gained it back and had him by a fender at the top of 4th or around 140. I was shocked.
We slowed and come to find out he had a T-67? turbo, upgraded fuel system. cat-backs, tune and a small upgraded cam. Wasn't sure of the power level but I can say he would have to be around the 600 whp mark to keep with me like that....very impressive and nice guy. He was shocked too as he thought he would walk the poor TA....fun run.

Yeah it was new...08'-09'. He had just recently done the mods and was anxiuos to giver er' a go...guess he thought i was his guinea pig..

You sir are very lucky you just upped the shot size. I was reading and got to the pillar gauge part and thought "man with just a 75 shot I might be reading txceta's first loss"...Nice runs man, and +1 on you needing a camera. You get some sick races.

i am going to look for one...wheres the best place to find one? After tonight i definitely would like to get one in the car....had a heck of a night tonight...started new thread for these 3. Have video of the first car after our quick run...sick.

dude must of had a little change to spend getting that car and modding it good kill though I want to catch one of those and race him I dont think I would of beat the one you raced though I would need some juice

damn man, i lost to a corolla S once to !! back when i had my magnacharged suburban. granted i was having trouble with my meth injection. but damn guy even waved to me as he went by....***

Damn, nice win man. I would love to see that guys setup and get some 1/4 times from his car.
I remember back in August when I raced one when they came out in my Formula, i put a car on him but i got traction first but i thought it was a good race, lol.

nice kill! i think ive seen a total of like 4 of those things rollin around here, and only one of them was an srt8. id be interested to see what my lowly lt1 could do against one of those RT's though.
