Default Ferrea springs and ET Performance heads

It's been a LONG time since I posted here, and I return with a question:

I am running Et Performance's old CNC ported stage 3 5.3 heads on my Lunati 383. I dropped a valve several years ago and the car has sat ever since due to life's inevitable intervention. I am now getting the car back on the road and could use some guidance.

I need to replace one Rev CL-1175 intake valve, one Ferrea double intake spring, and one titanium retainer. I THINK the spring is the S10075 dual setup (it measures up as such.) But my heads aren't running a seat locator as the Ferrea catalog states it requires. The catalog also lists a E12000 as the correct retainer. Eric Koenig helped spec out the engine and oversaw its buildup at HPE, but I don't know how to get in touch with him anymore.

Does anyone run these heads or have any knowledge of them? I bought them fully dressed thry HPE still in the ETP box. I would really love to find a single retainer and single spring set (ie. one valve) so that getting thiis car on the road doesn't cost me too many diapers, lol.

All your responses are appreciated,
Tony

Have you rid the heads of the ferrea springs yet? If not, It would be best to put a set of Patriot golds on there. Any ?? email me at

Funny i broke an exhaust outter Ferrea valve spring on a set of ET 2.055 LS6s i had on my Z06 about 3 years ago after about 60 miles. They send me a brand new set of springs no questions asked. I didnt drop a valve though.

A new set of patriot duals with seals is only like $250. Im running .651 lift to 7,000rpm with them with no problems so far.

Default Thanks

Thanks to those who responded. You have given me the direction I needed.

Craig at ET was very helpful and I have a few other irons in the fire. I really wanted to avoid replacing all the springs unless absolutely necessary. Damn shame, really... I spared NO expense with the engine and am reduced to patching it together as best I can.

Oh well, such is life!

Thanks again,
Tony
