Default Need some help please!

I forgot that my window was open the other day at work. Of course, it rained almost all day! Anyway, I wet vac'd the water out, and this weekend, I removed the seats and steam cleaned the carpet. It's now cleaner than it was when I bought the car, but it smells. Strongly! Any suggestions on what to do about the smell? Would baking soda work to get rid of it? Thanks, Kevin D.
PS, this is on the '99, neutral/tan carpet.

I would remove the carpet & jute backing .
You might fabreeze the **** out of it but I'd prolly replace them.
Maybe sampoo it out of car & you can get the mildew out?
Once it gets into the jute backing though it is tough.

Good luck!

Whoooo, ammonia smells like cat **** last time I checked.

I have had good experiences with Fabreeze and Ozium. If that doesn't work try the ammonia like doodfromcali says. I haven't tried it but it might work.

Be careful loading your carpet up with Fabreeze. If you use a lot of it each time your car gets heated up by the sun, the Fabreeze will form a cloudy film on your windows..
