Default Independent Fuel Rail Feeds?

Is there any advantage to using a multiple port regulator to feed the fuel rails separately? What about feeding them separately with a cross over at the opposite ends? Just wondering.

I do not know what the benifits will be other then you do not have to worry about one side taking all the fuel. you should not really have to worry about this unless you are using crazy ammts of fuel. I have however feeding both rails with seperate like (-8an) and then leaves to the regulator behind it. I am finishing up this weekend I will have pics of it MOnday

Well I will definatley not be using crazy amounts of fuel. It just seemed like it would help to balance the system. Pics of your system would be great. Any other opinions out there?

i also think that it help reduce the risk of one side of the engine getting all the fuel. kinda ballances it out........ just my opinion

Yep, my opinion too and the reason I asked. I ordered a 4 port return style regulator to mount on the firewall and each rail will have it's own -6 feed at the rear. I am still considering whether or not to run a cross over at the front of the motor.

Aeromotive's recommendation is what I will use.

Thanks to all who replied. This board rocks for information.

The best setup is to have the regulator after the rails. You want to feed the rails with a pressure head if the injectors drop any pressure at the rails the regulator will see it and adjust for it. If it is before the rails like the picture it can drop and the regulator will not see the drop for some time. That is the big problem with the stock system and the reg. in the tank.

Feed to rails, crossover, out of rails to the reg., return back to tank.

I have seen pictures of systems like that before but I never understood why they were plumbed that way. Great explanation. Thanks!
