Default LS1 in a 97 Firebird

I have found a 1997 firebird with a 3800 V6 and a 5 speed in it. The motor is junk in it but the tranny is good and the rest of the car is NICE. Its bare, no options like p/w or p/l. I was wondering what it would take to put an LS1 in it or would i be better going with a LT1 in it? I tried to do a search but didnt have alot of luck.

Any input would be great, thanks,

Andy

I'd make a list of what all you would need in parts and such to do the swap and then add it up. Might be more cost effective to just buy a 98-up LS1 car.

your time is worth money too

Click the link in my sig. That should answer most of your questions. If not, hit me up with a PM. I don't visit this section much these days.
