If you take jeans, take a change of clothes for the way home. They're going to get wet.

I used to go all the time when I was younger. Snow pants are the way to go but you're going to look like a mega dork, they were much cooler back in the day.

that shit is awesome! Definately do the snow pants. Hypothermia and frost bite dont make you cool.

They is a ski resort near me that has hills designated for snow tubing. Its fun as hell and you don't need good balance to do it:) WEAR snowpants. You will get covered in snow, and that snow will melt when it touches your jeans. Then will freeze. I've had that happen once or twice and it sucks.

Actually out here in LA, wearing jeans is considered dorky/newbish. Some Emo kids wear them, and I believe spray the jeans with something to give them some water protection.

If you dont have them, take a change of clothes. if you do have snow pants wear them, you'll be much more comfortable. I snowboard, but I love to sled/inner tube when I can. :)

I'm not sure why people are saying snowpants look dorky. Just get an awesome set of burton's or 686's on clearance and you are not dorky. Styling and warm.

+1

Although if it's only once it's not worth getting pants ($60 if you're lucky for decent stylish ones, probably closer to $100+). If you're going in jeans thermals are cheap and will give you one more layer of dryness.

going to jack frost on march6. wmmr is also having their cardboard classic that day, where people make huge sleds with nothing but cardboard and race them down the slopes.

i went snowboarding once years ago but i sucked at it and didnt like it at all. never tried skiing. but snowtubing sounds fun as hell especially after a few beers.

I was skiing last week in NM;they have a tubing course with a conveyor belt to take you up. I didn't see it it operation...might be night-only...goes to 8 PM.

Academy has ski clothes for CHEAP ; although they may have pulled them by now.

This was at Angel Fire and it looked like a pretty tame course.

I use to go all the time when I lived in Albuquerque....
from like age 13 - 27 we always went tubing.

But its way fun.. As stated you WILL be soaked... doesnt seem like it but you will be wet.

Also be carefull.... When me and my buddies use to go... ask everyone and anyone.. No matter how carefull you think you are being...
Big ramps get built... people get HURT..... Trees jump out of no where....
The jumps seem to send you into other hills at very high rates of speed...

Bones get broken.. Black eyes seem to appear... bruises.... LOL
especially when you are with a bunch of guys that are acting like guys.. LOL

but overall have fun..

They do a cardboard classic at crystal mountain near me, and it is awesome. There are always people who put a weeks worth of work into one of those things and it flies like a snowmobile down the hill. Good shit.
