My car is a 94 z28 with what I believe is the mystic teal color...looks green blue and purple. My hood body kit and fenders should be here with in two weeks. I am getting the complete car repainted the same color. But the guy doing it says I should get something else to make it stand out a lil. He says ghost flames, but Iam not big on them.....

And then he says stripes, not big on them...

What about ghost stripes or a ghost stripe down the center of the cowl hood, or one on each side of the cowl hood?

Or perhaps something else. any input would be greatful, thanks.

sounds like a trick to get you to spend more money. Do what you think would look nice, not what he says you should do. besides a job like that will cost anywhere between 500-1000 dollars more to do.

Agreed, get what you want done. You can always come back and get a graphic or stripes painted on if you want to go that route.

Thanks guys! The guy actually use to work for me at my club, him and his Dad owns a body shop. And he is doing it for me has a favor and money on the side. So him fixing the dents and dings now, and molding in the body kit and painting the whole car. Is costing me 600 in parts and paint. And 800 in labor, so 1400 dollars.

I told him I would give him and extra 100-200 for something additional.

As I am giving him 100 dollars to install the lambo doors too.


So I can get relativly anything at a much cheaper route now if I get it done!

What would you do?

hmmm..... lambo doors and a body kit. if you put graphics on it it will just look even more gay so i say dont do it.

By graphics I mean racing stripes or hockey strips, something along those lines.

It's a sign from the LS1 god not to put the body kit and the scissor (lambo) doors on it. sometimes less is better but its your car so do what you like......

Just my .02 on graphics. I'd say have it painted, and then use vinyl graphics if you decide you want them later. That way, if you don't like them, or want to change them...you can. It'd be a lot harder to do ghost or something like that, but still, a lot of those vinyl graphics look damn near painted on.

Ok thanks for the Ideas. I think Iam going to not do a graphic....But yet paint the Car a completly different color then stock.

You could always do custom pinstriping like mine. It's pretty cheap and I get compliments all the time. Here's what mine looks like. Sorry about the big picture, but this is the only way to really see the pinstriping.
