Where to hell is the orifice tube?

granted youve never replaced one you have to look inside the tube itself, most of the time you can get it out with a pair of needle nose pliers. when you do find it..it DOES matter which way it goes in, there should be a small arrow on the new one as well as the old one. make sure you observe the way the old one came out and put the new one in the same way.

Your year of camaro has a thermal expansion valve instead of an orifice tube. Its located in series with the line from the compressor near the evaporator. It should be between the evaporator and a pressure sensor for that line. when you replace that i believe it only fits one way.
