Default LT1 to LS1 swap

anyone have any experience or knowledge on this? I am about to swap an LS1 from a 2002 firehawk into a 94 camaro.

i just need some insight as to what is involved. do i have to replace the k-member, how is the wiring harness setup etc.

any info is appreciated!

before people start posting useless stuff:

2002 firehawk is wrecked, thats why we are doing the swap
the camaro has a junk motor, junk trans, we are swapping the rear out too. it is pretty much a full drivetrain swap.

but im just looking for info on what all has to be done to make this work.

so i need an aftermarket wiring harness? i will probably be swapping the fuel tanks as well bc the pump in the camaro is no good.

how much work is actually involved in putting in the wires and such. and do i have to rip the dash apart?

u dont need an after market u can use the one that comes with the ls1. u just have to send it out to speartech to have them make connect to the 94 dash. thats what i did. it cost 500. i think spear tech tho is a rip off!! i had mine done and got it back missing stuff and when i calld them about they gave me a hard time plus it took alot longer then he said it would. you can do the swap in a weeks time if u have all the parts u need when u start. took me a month cuz i didnt have all the parts at first.

As far as swaps go, it won't get much easier than this. Click the link in my sig, and it should answer most of your questions.
