Default Got my 11 - M6 street car

I've only made ~12 passes in this car so I know there is more left in it.

Full mod list:

Old style Patriot Stage II LS6's with 59cc chambers
Patriot gold dual springs
LS6 intake
TTP Equalizer V.3 (234/238 .595/.598 112lsa)
Long tubes
TR55s...
MSD wires
Open X pipe
TTP tune
Whisper lid
Spec 3+ clutch
Pro 5.0 shifter
01+ hydraulics
Tick performance stage II T56
275/40/R17 BFG drag radials mounted on a pair of front wagon wheels

Stock MAF, Stock TB, Stock injectors (100% DC)Stock bottom end,Stock driveshaft, Stock 10 bolt, completely stock suspension minus Bilstein shocks.

The H/C and clutch have 22k miles on them. The car dynoed 448rwhp 418rwtq. The dyno runs were spun to 6800. The car has a 6200rpm limiter currently so I am leaving some on the table there. The car is full weight. The spare tire and jack were not included in the purchase of the car so I don't count them. It has not been weighed so I don't have a raceweight to give you. I drive it on the street every day and the drivability is excellent.

On to the runs...

Doing my best to not break the 10 bolt I was slipping the clutch from 4-5k rpm depending on the pass. The drag radials were on the car more for in gear traction purposes than for trying to launch it. I do not have a video of the 11 second pass but I have 3 videos running 12.2-12.3@115.x. The car was very consistent with these numbers running dumped powersticks. I cut the exhaust off immediately after the X-pipe in preparation for running dumped 12" bullets and couldn't resist a test drive. It pulled noticeably harder up top so I left the exhaust open X-pipe and went back to the track 1 week after these videos. Weather conditions were nearly identical. The first pass out I ran 11.93@119.15. The car 60'd .03 better than my other runs and I picked up over 3 tenths and nearly 4mph. I backed it up with a 12.0x@118.x and a 12.1x@118.x with traction issues on both launches (got greedy). The dumped 2.5" powersticks were a huge restriction apparently.

The 11.9 run felt much faster and my powershifts were perfect. Here is the slip:

Here are 3 videos of the car running slower with the dumped powersticks:

The first run on drag radials. Slow 60ft and granny shifted 2-3 (scared of hurting the new tranny I guess...) 12.38 I believe.

Second run: Launched harder, 1.89 60', powershifted 1-4, 12.29, trapped 115.9

Third run: Got lined up beside a skittle. 1.88 60ft, powershifted 1-4, 12.29,trapped 115.8. Listen to the skittle right as it leaves the line. It makes a hilarious noise as it wheel hops, breaks an axle, and hits the bov. Ignore the friends in the background. There was no groove to be in on test and tune night...

I know there is more left ET wise but I am more than satisfied with the MPH for 3.42's and what is basically a budget heads/cam/intake/clutch/exhaust setup. Unfortunately something broke a few days after this pass. The car started idling erratically and stalling, the oil pressure was much lower than normal at idle, and it started tapping/knocking over 2800rpms. The intake/heads/exhaust are off. I'm thinking its a lifter or weak valve spring. We shall see.

Congrats man! With a 119mph trap if you can get that 60' down you're looking at a low-mid 11 pass!!!

It will probably never happen. Any suspension mods I do will trend towards handling/ride qaulity. I want a fast, comfortable street car. One day I will get around to building a drag suspended LS F-body. I just can't stand the way they ride on the street.

You don't have to butcher up the car with drag suspension mods, just a set of ET Streets would go a long way in helping you take advantage of that power.
