Default Hurry need help quick!!!!!

quick, i have air to the cylinder and im changing my valve springs, i have the prc dual spring kit and am just pulled off the first valve seal, now i find out that they are different between exhaust and intake and i cant tell any difference between the ones in the prc kit! how will i know which ones go to what they all look the same???? please help fast!

o well, i put the cylinder to TDC and shut the air off. Looks like im going to gm tomorrow to buy stock valve seals, is there any draw back to using these?

The aftermarket ones are just viton seals. You do not need a different seal for intake and exhaust. GM apparently uses two different seals but it is not required.

The viton seals are smaller in diameter to clear the inner spring. They must be used with the dual springs. If you try to use the GM seals it will break the inner spring.

hmmm, i see, i take it your normal parts store wouldn't have the viton seals?

The seals that came with your PRC kit are the viton seals you want to use.

Use the seals that came with your spring kit. They are all the same so just grab and go.

i beat one up using the wrong size socket to drive it on, so i need one new one.... need to know where to get one quick....

I don't know any local places that would have them. Prolly have to get em from wherever you got them the first time. Several sponsors have them.
