Generation IV Internal Engine - 6.2 L92 compression ratio

Can someone verify the compression ration of a 2007 6.2 l92. I found it was 10.5:1. I am looking to bump it up a little so I want to verify what it is stock. Also I need the thickness of the stock headgaskets. Thanks.

You cant just "bump" up the compression on this engine they way your thinking. This engine is designed to have .080" piston to valve clearance on both the intake an exhaust valves. This is even closer than engine builders typically go (.080/.100).

I should have noted that I am removing the VVT and AFM and going with a different cam. This will be more like an LS3 set up when i'm done.

Removing the AFM I can see, big heavy lifters, no performance cams avaliable.
Removing the VVT, terrible idea for most street stuff. Do you understand the advantages of VVT?

I do understand the benifits of vvt, but this is going in a 98 T/A and my PCM does not support VVT. I am keeping all the parts so maybe in the future if I can use it when more aftermarket parts for VVT come avail. There are some very impressive LS3 cams out and that is the route I am going with this build.
