Default Flat Black.. What do you think?

I've been in the works of building this car for a long time now. As of the last couple of months the cost of enough sunset orange paint to cover the entire car has been holding me back. I really want to get this thing on the road so I went with a cheaper alternative until next winter.

Sorry for the poor pictures ill get better ones. I have the doors on now but no pictures, I should finish the hood and front bumper soon. Yes the engine compartment is already SOM, and it looks damn good all cleaned up.

Did you use a low gloss clear or is it just a single stage?

Is this one hot rod black?

Looks pretty good to me. I think the SOM engine bay looks odd though.

SEM makes a hot rod black kit... part number HR010.. any paint supplier or body shop should be able to get it for you.

Another vote for keep it. The SOM hood doesn't look all that bad. I think what would set it off is a set of deep dish wheels that are either all black or black centers with a big polished lip.
